Ink Scare

Thu Aug 13, 2009, 7:53 PM
exposure
virgin skin being ruined
the pain comes quick
the needle breaks through your skin
the story's sinking in
and here it begins
everything starts to numb
as each sentence is read
and traced

almost to the end
one last exclaimation point
and done

forever shown
forever seen
just like a scar
or an invisible tear
the ink infurs the pain it held
and reveals the story
behind its existance

with time it does fade
but its importance is perminant
never forgotten
never insignificant
and with you...it dies

Run for cover and you'll find us there
To take on the anger, make it disappear
When razor blades were softly serenading you

Run for cover as fast as you can
Where fighters are lovers, enemies are friends
And pens and knives apologize for leaving you

Hi, I notice your writings make abundant use of abbreviations, like 'ur', 'kno', 'thot' and 'u'. But alternatively, you use words that show a decent command of diction, like 'crimson'. I'm honestly curious to find if there is something that draws you to these modes of expression, as opposed to the common English spellings. Do these reflect the meanings of the words in your head? Are they a commentary on the different world that is the internet? Or are they meant to convey thoughts to the reader with an absence of nuance, so that no more application is read into your words than their literal meanings?
